Advanced Energy introduces a 1300 W, 28 V high-power density half-brick DC converter with a digital control design and high efficiency

    This high-performance isolation converter has an efficiency of nearly 96% at full load, and is suitable for RF communication power amplifiers due to its compact structure and low operation and maintenance cost.
    Advanced Energy (NASDAQ: AEIS), a global leader in the design and manufacture of precision power conversion, measurement and control solutions, announced the introduction of a new ultra-efficient, highly reliable, direct-current DC converter module. The innovative 1300 W device, designed in an industry-standard half-brick form factor, delivers 28 V output and enables a wide range of remote digital control functions at low power consumption.

    The Advanced Energy Artesyn®ADH1300-48S28 DC converter is designed for telecommunications wireless base stations and other equipment equipped with radio frequency power amplifiers (RFPA). The converter has an industry-leading efficiency of nearly 96% at full load. In addition, its special thermal design is ideal for installation in sealed housing with intrusion protection (IP), such as radio frequency remote head (RRH) equipment that requires contact with the cooling unit. The PMBus interface enables remote configuration, monitoring, and control, thereby reducing maintenance costs.

    The ADH1300-48S28 enables a wide range of voltage regulation, allowing designers to flexibly adjust its performance to target application requirements. In addition, the module also has overvoltage, overcurrent and short circuit protection.
