The onsemi AR1335 image sensor is a high-performance 1/3.2-inch CMOS digital image sensor with a maximum resolution of 13M pixels. The AR1335 uses advanced BSI technology to deliver ultra-high resolution and excellent low-light performance, making it ideal for applications that require high-quality images. In addition, the sensor supports high dynamic range (HDR) and multi-frame synthesis, which enables delicate and realistic picture capture in different lighting conditions. In terms of core control, this solution selects NXP's i.MX 8M Plus processor as the main control platform, which adopts advanced 14nm LPC FinFET process technology and has 4K video decoding capability. The processor is equipped with a quad-core Arm Cortex-A53, which can run at speeds of up to 1.8GHz, and a neural processing unit (NPU) of up to 2.3 TOPS, which can complete complex image recognition and processing tasks. In terms of visual processing, the i.MX 8M Plus incorporates dual ISP technology to support image correction with high dynamic range (HDR) and fisheye lenses. The ISP can handle two high-definition cameras simultaneously for real-time stereoscopic effects, or support a single camera up to 12M pixels. These advanced features enable superior real-time image processing in areas such as surveillance, smart retail, robotic vision and home health monitoring devices. In addition, the i.MX 8M Plus supports a variety of input/output interfaces, including high-speed USB, PCIe, Ethernet and MIPI CSI, providing a wide range of connectivity options and flexibility.Figure 3- Block diagram of the onsemi and NXP product based machine vision solution
