The Arm Tech Symposia annual Technology Conference takes place today in Shanghai. As Arm's annual technology event, with the theme "Let's Reshape the Future Together", the conference attracted nearly 2,000 industry professionals, engineers and developers to register for the conference. The conference focuses on generative artificial intelligence (AI), edge AI, Large Language Model (LLM), Chiplet technology, AI infrastructure, intelligent driving and other cutting-edge technologies, aiming to promote further exchange and cooperation of AI technology in the Arm ecosystem.
At this event, Arm discussed in depth the needs of AI for computing, and shared how it, as a computing platform company, helps its partners grasp the development opportunities of AI through the three core aspects of comprehensive computing subsystems, cloud-to-end software development empowerment, and close cooperation ecosystem. Today, Arm adopts a more comprehensive system-level design thinking, focuses on the collaborative optimization of hardware and software, brings the corresponding computing subsystem (CSS) for different application markets, and expands the underlying technology to consolidate AI computing needs. In terms of software, Arm said that software has always been an important part of the Arm computing platform, and will continue to invest in innovative software technologies to provide the 20 million developers around the world based on the Arm platform with a cloud-to-end, efficient, easy-to-use, seamless development experience, fully enabling software innovation. In terms of ecology, as one of the largest technology ecosystems in the world, Arm brings together the power of ecology through numerous ecological projects, including Arm Total Design, to help partners accelerate the process of product to market.

Dermot O'Driscoll, vice president of product solutions at Arm's Infrastructure Division, stressed in his keynote speech that since its transformation into a computing platform company, Arm has continued to lead the computing revolution in the AI era through deep integration of hardware and software and architectural innovation. It is expected that by the end of 2025, there will be more than 100 billion AI-capable Arm devices worldwide, providing solid support for the popularity of AI. Just as Arm helped the rise of smartphones, Arm will also become the driver of AI computing platforms.Dermot O'Driscoll, Vice president of Product Solutions for Arm's Infrastructure Division, delivered a keynote address
Commenting on the results in the area of ecology, Dermot O'Driscoll added: "Arm continues to drive the next generation of ecosystems with its insights into the needs of the industry and decades of experience with its partners. Since the launch of the Arm Total Design eco-program a year ago, the number of members has reached 30. "The Arm Computing Subsystem and Arm Total Design are driving the rapid development of hardware and software, making it easy for partners to build broader, more advanced solutions that accelerate innovation in chips and AI."
The conference also brought together strategic partners from different fields to share their forward-looking insights and strategic layout of AI as benchmarking enterprises, further demonstrating Arm's prosperous and diversified ecology. Ma Tao, vice president of research and development of Ali Cloud Intelligence Group and chairman of the Dragon Lizard community, shared Ali Cloud's views on the wave of AI, through creating a processor designed for the cloud native era, the new Anolis 23, with the concept of heterogeneous computing, combined with the collaborative optimization of hardware and software, and the crowdtesting of the open source community to effectively cope with the complex challenges of the AI era.
