Analysis of the relationship between signal-to-noise ratio and sensitivity
SIGNAL to NOISE RATIO (SNR) or S/N (signal-noise ratio) is also known as the signal to noise ratio. The ratio of signal to noise in an electronic device or system. The signal here refers to the electronic signal from the outside of the device that needs to be processed by the device, and the noise refers to the irregular additional signal (or information) that does not exist in the original signal generated after the device, and the signal does not change with the change of the original signal.
The same is "the original signal does not exist" there is a thing called "distortion", distortion and noise actually have a certain relationship, the difference between the two is that the distortion is regular, and the noise is irregular, this will be talked about later.
The unit of measurement of the signal-to-noise ratio is dB, and its calculation method is 10lg (PS/PN), where Ps and Pn respectively represent the effective power of the signal and noise, and can also be converted to the ratio relationship of the voltage amplitude: 20Lg (VS/VN), Vs and Vn respectively represent the "effective value" of the signal and noise voltage. In an audio amplifier, what we want is that the amplifier should not add anything else besides amplifying the signal. Therefore, the SNR should be as high as possible.
In a narrow sense, it refers to the ratio of the output signal power of the amplifier and the noise power output at the same time, often expressed in decibels, and the higher the signal-to-noise ratio of the device, the less noise it produces. Generally speaking, the larger the signal-to-noise ratio, the smaller the noise mixed in the signal, the higher the sound quality of the sound playback, otherwise the opposite. The signal-to-noise ratio should generally not be lower than 70dB, and the signal-to-noise ratio of high-fidelity speakers should reach 110dB or more.
SensiTIvity refers to the degree of change in the response of a method to a change in the unit concentration or unit amount of the substance to be measured, which can be described by the ratio of the response of the instrument or other indicator to the corresponding concentration or amount of the substance to be measured. Sensitivity indicator relative to the displacement rate of the measured change, sensitivity is a sign of measuring physical instruments, especially electrical instruments pay attention to the improvement of instrument sensitivity. Through the study of sensitivity, we can deepen the understanding of the structure and principle of the instrument.
The relationship between signal-to-noise ratio and sensitivity
    Why is there noise?
We all know that we live in a complex electromagnetic field environment. Sound sources, power amplifiers, etc., are not only subject to external electromagnetic interference, but also have electromagnetic interference inside them. These disturbances can have a very significant effect on the signal.
    How to remove these distractions?
One is the analog way, the most common is the resistance-capacitance circuit, that is, a resistor and a capacitor in parallel in the circuit. One is the digital way, which is to achieve the removal of noise through various algorithms.
Nowadays, most sound sources are filtered using a combination of analog and digital.

What do SNR and sensitivity mean
Audio signal-to-noise ratio refers to the ratio of normal sound signal strength to noise signal strength when sound equipment is playing. When the signal-to-noise ratio is low, the noise is serious when the small signal is input, and the sound in the whole range is obviously cloudy and unclear, and the sound quality is seriously affected. The size of the SNR is expressed as the logarithm of the ratio of useful signal power (or voltage) to noise power (or voltage).
The unit thus calculated is called "Bell". In practice, because the Bell unit is too large, one tenth of it is used as a calculation unit, called "decibels". For portable DVDS, the signal-to-noise ratio should be at least 70dB (decibels) above before it can be considered. This should be true for the amplifier, the sensitivity generally refers to the voltage of the input signal when the rated output power or voltage is reached, so it is also called the input sensitivity; For the speaker, the sensitivity refers to how many decibels of sound pressure can be generated by applying 1W input power to the speaker at a distance of 1 meter directly in front of the speaker.
    ● Sensitivity
This index indicates the sound pressure level measured 1 meter in front of the vertical central axis of the speaker plane when the sound signal of 1W and 1000Hz is input to the speaker. Usually the lower the input signal, the higher the response sensitivity of the speaker. In general, for every 3dB difference in the sensitivity of the speaker, the output sound pressure will be about twice the difference; According to the regulations, the sensitivity of 87dB size is set as a medium level, less than 84dB size is called low sensitivity, and higher than 90dB size is called high sensitivity. Under normal circumstances, the sensitivity of the speaker is often improved at the expense of distortion, so the requirements for the sensitivity of the speaker should not be too high.
    ● Signal to noise ratio
SNR indicates the ratio of the sound signal played back by the speaker to the noise signal under normal conditions. It directly affects the sound broadcast quality of the speaker, usually the lower the signal-to-noise ratio, the smaller the input signal, the more likely the speaker is to have more serious noise, and the sound in the whole range obviously becomes cloudy and unclear, I do not know what the sound is. In order to ensure the sound effect, it is recommended that speakers with a signal-to-noise ratio of more than 80dB can be included in the purchase range.
These values are also marked even for Bluetooth speakers
    ● Scalability
Scalability indicators indicate whether the speaker supports simultaneous input of multi-channel audio signals, whether there is an output interface to the passive surround speaker, whether it supports USB input or other forms of digital input. In general, the scalability of the speaker, its future adaptability is strong, and the connection compatibility between other multimedia devices will be better, so it is recommended that you choose the best scalability of the speaker, to ensure that their speakers will not be eliminated in a few years. Digital combination of the way to filter.
