The FSC-BP401 Bluetooth audio transmitter from Shenzhen Feiyitong Technology Co., Ltd. uses the nRF5340 SoC to provide low-latency, high-fidelity audio streams for hearing AIDS, headphones and speakers
Iot product company Shenzhen Feasycom has released a USB-based Bluetooth ® transmitter that enables old TV sets, PCS or any audio source device to stream high-fidelity LE audio to a compatible terminal device. The FSC-BP401 Bluetooth audio transmitter integrates Nordic Semiconductor's nRF5340 high-end multi-protocol SoC with LE Audio and Auracast capabilities. Provides a high-quality, low-latency LE audio connection between transmitter and receiving devices such as hearing AIDS, headphones, or wireless speakers. In addition to the nRF5340 SoC, the transmitter also integrates a classic Bluetooth chipset for connecting audio source devices.

Low latency, high quality wireless audio

Ouyang Nan, CEO of Shenzhen Feiyitong Technology, said: "Our goal in developing the FSC-BP401 is to enable everyone to have a great audio experience with the most advanced Bluetooth LE audio technology. "This audio transmitter provides consumers with ultra-low latency, high-quality wireless audio that can be easily shared with an unlimited number of receiving devices."
Measuring 32.8 x 16.3 x 8.5 mm, this audio transmitter dongle provides easy to use plug and play operation. Once plugged into the USB-A port of any host device, such as a Windows PC or MacOS computer, tablet, or television, it can be configured via a drop-down menu that includes a button for pairing and audio broadcasting with one or more receiving devices.

Supports Auracast broadcast audio

The Nordic-enabled LE audio transmitter delivers true wireless stereo with low latency (around 25 ms) and long-range wireless connectivity (up to 100 meters of visual range), while significantly reducing power consumption compared to classic Bluetooth. Auracast enables audio sources to broadcast audio streams to an unlimited number of devices, for example, Auracast-compliant hearing aid wearers can hear the audio stream clearly, while their family can simultaneously listen at a comfortable volume directly through the source or Auracast-compliant headphones or earbuds.

The FSC-BP401 Bluetooth audio transmitter uses the nRF5340 SoC's dual Arm® Cortex®-M33 processor, including a high-performance application processor that supports DSP and floating-point arithmetic (FP) and a fully programmable ultra-low-power network processor. The application kernel manages both the LE audio codec and the classic Bluetooth audio codec, while the Bluetooth Low Energy protocol is overseen by the network processor. LE audio connectivity is achieved via the nRF5340 SoC's 2.4 GHz multi-protocol RF with 3 dBm output power and -98 dBm RX sensitivity with a link budget of 101 dBm.
Ouyang continued, "The nRF5340 SoC gives our Bluetooth audio transmitter the size, Arm CPU power and reliability it needs, while the nRF Connect SDK helps us get our application code up and running quickly. Nordic also has top-notch engineers and a friendly tech support ecosystem that delivers great documentation and fast responses."
