In order to maximize the speed of the chemical reaction of the battery, shorten the time for the rechargeable battery to reach the full charge state, and ensure that the polarization phenomenon of the positive and negative plates of the battery is as little or light as possible to improve the efficiency of the battery. Charger fast charging technology has developed rapidly in recent years. So what are the quick charging methods of the charger? Here is a small series for you to explain:
1, pulse charging method
Pulse charging method is first to charge the battery with pulse current, and then let the battery stop charging for a period of time, so that the cyclic intermittent pulse makes the battery have a more adequate reaction time, reduce the volume of gas, and improve the battery charging current acceptance rate.
2, REFLEXTM fast charging method
This technology is a patent technology in the United States, and it mainly faces the charging object of nickel-tin batteries. Because it uses a new charging method, the fast charging time of the battery is greatly reduced.
3, variable current intermittent charging method
This charging method is based on constant current charging and pulse charging. It is characterized by changing the constant current charging section to the voltage limited variable current intermittent charging section. The variable current intermittent charging method is used in each stage of the early charging stage to ensure that the charging current is increased and most of the charging amount is obtained. At the later stage of charging, the fixed voltage charging section is used to obtain the overcharge amount, and the battery is restored to the fully charged state of the intelligent battery charger designed by the MCU.
4, variable voltage intermittent charging method
The difference with the variable current intermittent charging method is that the first stage is not intermittent constant current, but intermittent constant voltage. At each constant voltage charging stage, because it is constant voltage charging, the charging current naturally decreases according to the exponential law, which is in line with the characteristics of the acceptable rate of battery current decreasing gradually with the charging process.
5, variable voltage and current wave type intermittent positive and negative zero pulse fast charging method
This charging method combines the advantages of pulse charging method, REFLEXTM fast charging method, variable current intermittent charging method and variable voltage intermittent charging method, which can charge more electricity in a short time and improve the charging acceptance capacity of the battery, so it has been developed and applied as a fast charging method.
Advantages and disadvantages of fast charging
Advantages:
1. Short charging time;
2. Long rechargeable battery life (can be charged more than 2,000 times)
3. No memory, can be charged and discharged in large capacity, in a few minutes can be charged to 70% ~ 80%;
4. Because charging in a short period of time (about 10 to 15 min) can make the battery storage capacity reach 80% to 90%, similar to the refueling time, therefore, the construction of the corresponding charging station can not be equipped with a large area of parking lot.
Cons:
Compared with the conventional charging mode, fast charging also has certain disadvantages:
1. The charging efficiency of the charger is low, and the corresponding work and installation cost is high;
2. Due to the use of fast charging, the charging current is large, which puts forward higher requirements for the charging technology and charging safety, and the metering design also needs special consideration.
