(NYSE stock code: VSH announced that the Vishay Ametherm SL2220007 bigAMP surge limiting negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistor has been UL certified. UL Solutions verified that the safety performance of the SL2220007 thermistor complies with the strict requirements of the UL mark in accordance with File E209153, Volume 1.

    The steady-state current of SL2220007 is 7A, while ensuring robustness, reliability and long-term performance. It is particularly suitable for use in switching power supplies, AC motors, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), industrial inverters and variable frequency drives. When the equipment is powered on, the thermistor absorbs high surge current to protect the circuit. Under steady-state current, the initial resistance drops rapidly to a negligible level, the device's energy absorption capacity reaches 125 J, the voltage processing capacity is 265 VRMS, and power consumption is reduced simultaneously.
    The SL2220007, which has obtained UL certification, is now available for sample and has achieved mass production.
