    On March 13, 2025, the leading international distributor of semiconductor components in the Asia Pacific market, United States Holdings, announced that Its subsidiary Chuanting launched a 2KW 48V bidirectional AC/DC energy storage power supply solution based on Innoscience's InnoGaN INN650TA030C, INN650TA050C, INN100EQ016A and INS1001DE chips.

    In the context of achieving the "double carbon" goal, wind energy, photovoltaic and other green energy forms are gradually becoming the core driving force to promote sustainable development. However, the natural energy supply is inherently unstable, which requires that the new energy system must rely on efficient energy storage solutions in the storage and utilization process to effectively balance supply and demand fluctuations and reduce the impact of uncertainty. As a star material in the semiconductor field, gallium nitride has significantly improved the energy conversion efficiency and utilization level with its excellent performance of ultra-high frequency and ultra-low loss, and has shown important value in the field of energy storage technology. In response to this trend, the company launched a 2KW 48V bidirectional AC/DC energy storage power supply solution based on InnoGaN INN650TA030C, INN650TA050C, INN100EQ016A and INS1001DE chips, which can reduce system losses.

    The energy storage system uses gallium nitride. On the one hand, it can improve efficiency, reduce loss, achieve wind-free heat dissipation, save fans, and thus improve system reliability and life. On the other hand, it can also increase the switching frequency and reduce the size of passive devices such as inductive and capacitive to build smaller and lighter products.
    The solution uses All GaN devices, including a front-end AC/DC bridgeless totem pole PFC and a back-end DC/DC isolated full-bridge LLC converter, which supports single-dual mode operation. In the bridgeless PFC part, this solution adopts 4 INN650TA030C chips of Innosecco, 4 INN650TA050C chips on the high voltage side of the primary side of LLC, 8 INN100EQ016A chips on the low voltage side of the secondary side, and the high voltage pipe driver is equipped with self-developed INS1001DE. Compared with the traditional IGBT/Si solution, This solution can provide faster switching speeds, lower switching losses, and thus maintain a smaller system size and higher efficiency.
