On March 4, 2025, the international leading semiconductor component distributor committed to the Asia-Pacific market, DDA Holding, announced that its World Ping launched the NXP S32K144 MCU, NCJ29D5 chip, KW38 wireless control chip. Supported by core source systems (MPS), TDK, Molex and other products as peripheral components of the automotive UWB Digital Key Kit application solution.

UWB digital key as a new generation of car unlock, with excellent anti-interference performance, powerful multi-device coexistence ability and accurate to centimeter-level positioning technology, for the vehicle intelligence and digitalization provides more possibilities. In order to accelerate the popularity and application of UWB automotive digital keys, DDA launched NXP's S32K144 MCU, NCJ29D5 chip, KW38 wireless control chip. Supported by core source systems (MPS), TDK, Molex and other products as peripheral components of the automotive UWB Digital Key Kit application solution. The UWB Digital-Key Kit application scheme consists of key (BLE_KW38 Board + WPI UWB Module), outside anchor point (4× (S32K144 + IDH flight chart base plate &UWB Module)), and inside anchor point (S32K144 + IDH) It consists of flight chart baseboard &UWB Module, base station BCM (S32K144 Board) and base station BLE (BLE_KW38 Board). The S32K144 Board is based on the S32K144, NXP's high-performance MCU designed for automotive and general-purpose embedded applications. The MCU is based on Arm? Cortex? The M0+/ M4F core features a DSP instruction set and a single-precision floating-point number processing unit (FPU) that runs up to 112MHz and integrates 2MB Flash and 256KB SRAM. In addition, to support developer applications, NXP offers a free software development integration environment, S32DS for Arm, as well as a graphical configuration tool that integrates Processor Expert and a Software development Kit (SDK) for easy setup of peripheral underlying drivers (LLD). BLE_KW38 Board adopts NXP KW38 wireless control chip, which integrates BLE wireless communication function and is equipped with 48MHz Arm? Cortex? -M0+ core, 256KB programmable flash memory and 256KB FlexNVM with ECC functionality for enhanced data reliability. At the same time, the 8KB FlexRAM supports EEPROM emulation, providing flexible storage options. The on-chip 64KB SRAM is also integrated to further meet the memory needs of various applications. In addition, the chip supports the BLE 5.0 standard with low power consumption, high performance and reliable wireless connectivity. IDH Feitu baseboard &UWB Module adopts NXP NCJ29D5 chip, which integrates Arm? Cortex? -M33 processor core and Arm? TrustZone Security technology. This is a full-feature single-chip pulsed radio Ultra-Wideband (IR-UWB) low-power transceiver IC that adheres to the IEEE 802.15.4 HRP UWB PHY and IEEE 802.15.4z BPRF/HPRF UWB PHY standards. Designed for safe ranging applications in automotive environments, it is able to achieve ranging accuracy of up to 10 cm. In terms of data transfer rates, the chip supports rates of up to 6.8Mbps (in BPRF mode) and 7.8Mbps (in HPRF mode). In addition, NCJ29D5 also has built-in dedicated MAC firmware, which greatly simplifies the UWB ranging setup process and session control operations. The WPI UWB Module also uses NXP NCJ29D5 chip, and the PCB board size is 28mm×18mm (4-layer board).
