    XPD818 is an integrated USB Type-C, USB Power Delivery (PD) 2.0/3.0 and QC3.0/2.0CLASS A fast charge protocol, Huawei FCP Fast charge protocol, Samsung AFC Fast charge protocol, BC1.2 The DCP, along with the multifunctional USB port controller of the Apple device 2.4A charging specification, provides a complete Type-C charging solution for AC-DC adapter devices.

XPD818 Description:
    XPD818 is an integrated USB Type-C, USB Power Delivery (PD) 2.0/3.0 and QC3.0/2.0CLASS A fast charge protocol, Huawei FCP Fast charge protocol, Samsung AFC Fast charge protocol, BC1.2 The DCP, along with the multifunctional USB port controller of the Apple device 2.4A charging specification, provides a complete Type-C charging solution for AC-DC adapter devices.
    The built-in TYPE-C protocol of XPD818 can support TYPE-C device insertion into the automatic wake-up system, intelligent identification of the forward plug and reverse plug, and achieve connection. The integrated TYPE-C PD3.0 protocol supports bidirectional markup coding (BMC), a physical layer protocol and protocol engine that integrates hardware without software involvement in codec.
    XPD818 has a variety of built-in protection mechanisms to ensure equipment safety: including dynamic overvoltage/undervoltage/overcurrent protection (protection points can be proportionally adjusted according to the operating voltage requested by the equipment); Start monitoring (Port voltage is monitored for safety before VBUS output). In particular, the built-in protection mechanism of the XPD818 ensures that the output voltage will not misoperate in the event of a short circuit between DP/DM or CC1/CC2 and the VBUS.
    The XPD818 integrates a 15mΩ VBUS path power switch tube and an internal discharge path, saving peripherals and enabling quick output shutdown and return to a safe state in the event of an error.
    The traditional SR current measurement method is to measure the drain voltage of the rectified MOSFET, but it is sensitive to the noise introduced by poor PCB layout. In contrast, the XPD818 uses a novel linear predictive timing control circuit to predict the moment of SR current zero crossing without the need for an external electrical measurement circuit. When unloaded, the SR controller of the XPD818 enters green mode and turns off the SR MOSFETs to further reduce the total power consumption of the system. In addition, the XPD818 adopts a built-in 40V MOSFET solution to further optimize performance and board space.
