TC2120 Description:
The TC2120 series IC, with built-in high-precision voltage detection circuit and delay circuit, is a protection IC for 2 series lithium-ion/lithium polymer rechargeable batteries. This series of ics is suitable for overcharge, overdischarge and overcurrent protection of 2 series rechargeable Li-ion/Li-polymer batteries.
(1) High-precision voltage detection circuit
Overcharge detection voltage VCUn (n = 1,2) 4.10V~4.50V accuracy ±25mV
Overcharge release voltage VCRn (n = 1,2) 3.90V~4.30V accuracy ±50mV
Overdischarge detection voltage VDLn (n = 1,2) 2.00V~3.00V accuracy ±80mV
Overdischarge release voltage VDRn (n = 1,2) 2.30V~3.40V accuracy ±100mV
Discharge overcurrent detection voltage (optional)
Charge overcurrent detection voltage (optional) accuracy ±30mV
Load short-circuit detection voltage 1.0V (fixed) accuracy ±0.4V
(2) Each delay time is set by the internal circuit (no external capacitor is required)
The typical overcharge detection delay time is 1000ms
The typical delay time of overdischarge detection is 110ms
The typical discharge overcurrent detection delay time is 10ms
The typical value of charging overcurrent detection delay time is 7ms
The typical load short-circuit detection delay time is 250μs
(3) Low consumption current
Operating mode Typical value 5.0μA, maximum value 9.0μA (VDD=7.8V)
Sleep mode Max. 0.1μA (VDD=4.0V)
(4) The terminal connected to the charger adopts high voltage design (CS terminal and OC terminal, the absolute maximum rating is 33V)
