FM8254 Description
FM8254 is a 3/4 series lithium-ion rechargeable battery protection IC with built-in high-precision voltage detection circuit and delay circuit.
FM8254 is available in TSOP-16 package
FM8254 Features:
High-precision voltage detection for each battery
Overcharge detection voltage n (n=1~4) 3.9~4.35V accuracy ± 25mV
Overcharge release voltage n (n=1~4) 3.8~4.15V accuracy ±80 mV
Overdischarge detection voltage n (n=1~4) 2.3~2.7V accuracy ±80 mV
Overdischarge discharge voltage n (n=1~4) 2.7~3.0V accuracy ±100 mV
3 section overcurrent detection function
Overcurrent detection voltage 0.20V accuracy ± 25mV
Overcurrent detection voltage 2 0.50V accuracy ± 100mV
Overcurrent detection voltage 3 VC 1 −1.1V accuracy ±300 mV
The delay time for detecting overcharge, overdischarge, and overcurrent 1 can be set based on the capacity of the external component. The delay time for detecting overcurrent 2 and 3 is fixed internally
Charge and discharge can be controlled through the control terminal
High voltage element: absolute maximum rating 26V
Wide operating voltage range: 3V~ 24V
Wide operating temperature range: −40 to +85°C
