    On May 22, 2025, Shanghai, China - Starway (Shanghai) Electronic Technology Co., LTD. (stock abbreviation: Starway, stock code: 688213) recently announced the launch of a new 4MP intelligent security application image sensor - SC4336H. As the first product developed by Starlight based on the DSITM-3 process technology, the SC4336H adopts a 1/3" target surface size design and is equipped with Starlight's patented technologies such as SFCPixel. It features high sensitivity, high color fidelity, low noise, and low power consumption. With its outstanding and stable high-quality imaging, Fully meet the performance upgrade requirements of intelligent security applications.


A leap in near-infrared sensitivity leads to outstanding low-light images
    In the practical application of low-light scenarios in security monitoring, taking indoor monitoring as an example, the application solution of 940nm infrared supplementary lighting has no red exposure phenomenon and causes less disturbance to the rest of indoor personnel. Its market demand has increased significantly. This trend places higher demands on the near-infrared sensitivity performance of image sensors.
    The SC4336H is built on Starlight's brand-new DSITM-3 process technology. By optimizing the silicon wafer epitaxy and the front-end process, it has significantly enhanced near-infrared sensitivity, enabling the camera to achieve high-quality low-light imaging effects under infrared lamps. At the 850nm band, the peak quantum efficiency (peak QE) of the SC4336H has significantly increased by approximately 21% compared to its predecessor, enabling the camera to capture detailed and clear image information in low-light scenarios such as at night. At the 940nm band, the peak quantum efficiency (peak QE) of the SC4336H has increased by approximately 15% compared to its predecessor. It can output clear and bright high-quality images in extremely dark or dark environments, meeting the usage requirements of infrared supplementary lighting monitoring at night and ensuring the clarity of the monitoring images and the stability of the output image quality.

High sensitivity and high color reproduction, creating clear and vivid images
    As a performance upgrade product for intelligent security applications, SC4336H, relying on Starlight's advanced DSITM-3 process technology, Microlens and color optimization process, has achieved performance optimization such as visible light sensitivity and color reproduction, which can bring high-definition, detailed, vivid and lifelike picture texture to security cameras.
 
The sensitivity of visible light has been enhanced
    Based on the DSITM-3 process technology, the SC4336H has excellent photosensitive performance in the visible light band. Its peak quantum efficiency (peak QE) in the 520nm band is superior to that of the FSI process image sensor of the same specification, and it can achieve imaging effects comparable to those of the BSI process image sensor of the same specification. Help the camera obtain more realistic and clear high-quality images.

High color reproduction
    When the surrounding ambient light is insufficient, the color capture quality of the image sensor will be affected, which can easily lead to color shift distortion. The SC4336H is equipped with Starlight's advanced Microlens and color optimization technology, which can precisely capture and restore the subtle differences of various colors, avoiding color cast and overly dark images, and presenting bright, realistic, vivid and lifelike image colors.
Precise noise suppression while significantly optimizing power consumption
    The SC4336H is equipped with Starlight's patented SFCPixel technology and ultra-low noise peripheral reading circuit technology, featuring outstanding noise suppression performance. Compared with products of the same specification in the industry, its read noise (RN) has been significantly reduced by approximately 53%, and the fixed noise (FPN) has been reduced by about 72%. This can significantly reduce the noise in the picture. Even in low-light scenes, it can capture clearer, cleaner, more detailed and rich image pictures for the camera, effectively enhancing the image capture capability of security monitoring.
    Thanks to the precise control design of the internal circuit module, the SC4336H has achieved a significant optimization of power consumption. At a working frame rate of 30fps, the power consumption of the SC4336H is as low as approximately 120mW (low-power mode), which can effectively reduce the heat generated by the camera due to long-term operation and meet the all-weather video recording requirements of security terminal applications.

    In addition, the SC4336H is also compatible with the previous generation product Pin2Pin (CSP 35pin), enabling seamless replacement on the basis of existing hardware design and helping customers accelerate the iterative upgrade of camera products.
    As the first product of the H series of smart security applications from Starway, the SC4336H has achieved further optimization on the basis of inheriting the performance advantages of the previous series products. It performs outstandingly in terms of sensitivity and color reproduction, fully meeting the performance upgrade requirements of smart security applications such as indoor pan-tilt cameras and outdoor surveillance cameras. In the future, Starway will rely on the DSITM-3 process technology to launch more image sensor products with higher resolution specifications and performance, facilitating the comprehensive upgrade of diverse terminal applications and promoting the further advancement of intelligence in the security industry.
