Grand Union World Peace Group launches low power AOV IPC solution based on SWISchip Micro products

    On December 3, 2024, the world's leading semiconductor component distributor in the Asia Pacific region announced the launch of a low-power AOV IPC solution based on Rockchip's RV1106 products.

    At present, surveillance cameras have become an important part of many home and business security systems. However, traditional surveillance cameras are often limited by the power supply, it is difficult to achieve a true 24×7 uninterrupted monitoring, which affects the overall level of safety. To address these challenges, Always on Video (AOV) technology has been developed that enables continuous operation at extremely low power consumption, maintaining round-the-clock surveillance of critical areas even when power conditions are limited. The low-power AOV IPC solution launched by United Nations World Peace based on the RV1106 products of Ruixinmicro not only realizes the normal operation of battery powered cameras, but also saves peripheral costs such as PIR, and effectively solves the pain points such as false positives, missed positives, and key information loss of traditional low-power monitoring solutions.

    The RV1106 is a product for the next generation of security front end, which integrates a number of advanced technologies to provide users with high performance, low power and intelligent solutions. The RV1106 uses Arm Cortex A7 and RISC-V cores, and has the built-in 4th generation NPU developed by RISC Micro, which supports int4, in8 and int16 hybrid quantization, and has the characteristics of high computing accuracy. At the same time, the product is equipped with the 3rd generation ISP3.2 technology developed by Ruixin Micro, which supports a variety of image processing functions.
    The AOV IPC scheme based on RV1106 has an ultra-low power consumption design, which can make the standby time of the camera products longer, and can maintain low frame rate recording even in the mode of no abnormal state, and significantly reduce the missing report rate. The self-developed AI algorithm built into the scheme can intelligently identify various targets such as people and cars, and realize remote detection and wake-up, and the monitoring range is wider. In addition, the program is also equipped with AOV+AI-ISP technology to provide starlight night vision capability, and greatly improve the clarity and color reproduction of the night monitoring picture through low light level noise reduction and intelligent enhancement algorithm. In terms of coding, the scheme adopts Ruixin Micro super coding 2.0 technology, which can effectively compress the bit rate, reduce the cloud storage cost, and improve the storage efficiency.

    After the actual use of measurement, the AOV IPC scheme equipped with RV1106G2 in the working state of one frame per second, the product power consumption is only about 40mW, such as the use of 5200mAh battery configuration, can ensure that in sunless weather, working for about 14 days.

Self-developed 4th generation NPU, up to 1.0TOPs computing power:
RV1106 uses Arm Cortex A7 and RISC-V cores, built-in RISC micro self-developed 4th generation NPU, high computing accuracy, support int4, in8, int16 mixed quantization, int8 computing power of 0.5TOPs, int4 computing power up to 1.0TOPs;
Self-developed 3rd generation ISP3.2, supporting a variety of image processing functions:
RV1106 adopts the 3rd generation ISP3.2, which supports 5 million pixels and 4 million pixels respectively, and supports a variety of image enhancement and correction algorithms such as HDR, WDR, and multi-level noise reduction, which can achieve clear shooting picture effects in various complex light scenes. The RV1106 can support 2-3 MIPI/DVP inputs, which is an economical binocular IPC solution.
Strong coding ability, high frame rate, low bit rate, small footprint:
In terms of video coding, the RV1106 has superior coding performance, supports intelligent coding, and can self-adjust according to the scene to save the stream, saving more than 50% of the conventional CBR mode bit rate, and doubling the storage space. The product also supports rich coding functions, such as frame hopping reference, custom quantization matrix, subjective factor, etc., to further improve coding quality;
Smart audio for clearer sound recording:
In terms of audio processing, the RV1106 adopts intelligent audio solution, which supports echo cancellation, voice noise reduction, cry detection, abnormal sound detection, etc., and supports high-definition voice, which can enhance sound acquisition and pickup distance.
Fast start transient response, high performance and low power consumption:
RV1106 built-in RISC-V MCU design, support low power fast start, support 250ms fast capture, and load AI model library at the same time, can complete face recognition in 1 second;
High integration:
The RV1106 has built-in Audio codec, MAC PHY, RTC, etc., and has 64MB to 256MB DRAM, available in various packages such as QFN88, QFN128, and BGA.

Project specification:

Video input: Support 1x4Lane/2x2Lane MIPI, 8bit~16bit CIF, BT656 and BT1120 and other input modes;
Audio interface: Support speaker output, single MIC recording and single Line In;
Wi-Fi: Support SDIO Wi-Fi;
UART debugging: Users debug and view SOC LOG information. It is also used for system firmware upgrade.
Ethernet interface: Support 1 RJ45 interface 10/100 Ethernet;
System keys: including RESET, UPDATE, KEY1/Recover, KEY2 keys;
DC power supply: DC 12V adapter power supply interface;
RTC: Support real-time clock, can be powered by the development board or button battery (CR1220-3V);
GPIO interface: Support GPIO input and output, through the supporting expansion board, can achieve motor drive, light board drive, light input and other functions;
Video output: Support RGB 16bit/18bit, RGB 8bit, MCU, BT656 and BT1120 and other output modes.
