    MALVERN, PA, USA; Shanghai, China - November 28, 2024 - Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH announced the launch of the TO-263 (D2PAK) package of a new automotive grade surface mount thick film power resistor, the D2TO35M. The Vishay Sfernice D2TO35M is AEC-Q200 certified with multi-pulse processing capability and power dissipation up to 35 W at 25 C shell temperature for a variety of automotive applications.

    The recently announced devices are superior TO standard TO-263 (D2PAK) packaged devices in terms of power dissipation and stability, and are suitable for use under multi-pulse and repeat pulse conditions. The maximum resistance offset of 1000 pulses at 25 C is 2%, the resistance offset of 100,000 pulses is less than 5%, the on-time is 500 ms, the turn-off time is 11 s, and the pulse energy is 18.9J. The device passes 1000 rapid temperature change (RCT) tests and has a load life of 1000 hours.
    The D2TO35M has a non-inductive design with resistance ranges of 10 to 10 k, tolerances of 2%, 5% and 10%, thermal resistance of 4.28 C/W, temperature coefficient (TCR) of 150 ppm/C, and operating temperature range of -55 C to +175 C. The device is RoHS compliant and stable under 270 C/10 s reflow conditions.
    D2TO35M can now provide samples and has achieved mass production, standard cycle delivery.
