The SGM42553 is a high-performance three-phase half-bridge drive chip equipped with individual controllable inputs for each drive channel for precise control. This device is designed to drive three-phase brushless DC motors, solenoids, and other similar loads. Each channel is constructed of an N-MOSFET and can be independently set to a half-bridge form. The SGM42553 is equipped with three dedicated ground terminals (PGNDx) for each channel, which facilitates independent external current monitoring. As a result, the SGM42533 can be configured as a single half-bridge or for applications with three-phase or two-phase bridge drivers. In addition, the device has a built-in comparator, which can be useful when the motor system requires current limiting.
