FM5324GA is an integrated power management IC for mobile power banks, which integrates lithium battery charging management, battery boost output, battery level judgment, and LED level indication.
FM5324GA is a charging method that uses switch mode, including trickle charging, constant current charging, and constant voltage charging. The floating charging voltage accuracy can reach ± 1% over the entire temperature range, and it has the advantages of low charging current ripple and high charging efficiency.

FM5324GA Application Description:
1. Selection of capacitors:
    CVIN, CBAT, and COUP capacitors are filtering capacitors that can be made of ceramic capacitors. The recommended voltage resistance is 10V or 6.3V. Under the condition of cost allowance, increasing the COUP and CBAT will make the system more stable; If the requirement for boost output ripple is not high, the COUP can be slightly reduced while ensuring stable system operation and a certain margin; If the solution is aimed at outputting a larger current, the capacitance value should be increased accordingly. In any case, choosing capacitors with poor quality may cause a decrease in overall system performance, shortened service life, or even malfunction, so please choose capacitors carefully.
2. Selection of inductance L1:
    We recommend using 1.5uH shielded inductors, but unshielded inductors can also be used to reduce costs.
3. Boost load test:
    Because the chip has added two-stage short-circuit protection, there are certain requirements for the boost load test: if the output is connected to a large capacitive load (some models of load meters have very large capacitors), it is possible to misjudge the short-circuit protection. When using voltage sources or simulated batteries instead of batteries for testing, the transient response of various types of power supplies may be different, and the impedance of the power lines may also be relatively high. Short circuit protection may also occur when boosting with CC or CR loads or starting with loads. In practical applications, the situation of CC or CR will be improved due to the connection of the battery. Generally, the input capacitance of portable devices is relatively small, and they will detect the input voltage. If the input voltage is not enough, they will not charge, so there will be no misjudgment or short circuit when charging portable devices with mobile power products.
