IP6538 Description:
IP6538 is a dual port SOC IC that integrates synchronous switches, supports 14 output fast charging protocols, Type-C output, and USB PD2.0/PD3.0 (PPS) protocol. It provides a complete solution for car chargers, fast charging adapters, and smart plugs.
IP6538 supports dual USB Type-C, USB Type-C and USB A, or dual USB A output, with integrated dual port automatic plug and unplug detection function. When used separately, either port can support fast charging output. When both ports are used simultaneously, both ports output 5V, with a total power of 5V/4.8A.
IP6538 has a built-in power MOS, with an input voltage range of 8.2V to 32V and an output voltage range of 3V to 20V. It can provide a maximum output power of 45W and automatically adjust the output voltage and current according to the recognized fast charging protocol. IP6538 outputs 5V/3A, with a board end conversion efficiency of up to 96.5%.
The output of IP6538 has CV/CC characteristics. When the output current is less than the set value, CV mode is output and the output voltage is constant; When the output current is greater than the set value, CC mode is output and the output voltage decreases.
The output voltage of IP6538 comes with a wired compensation function. As the output current increases, the output voltage will correspondingly increase to compensate for the voltage drop caused by the impedance of the connection line.
IP6538 has a soft start function, which can prevent the impact current during startup from affecting the stability of the input power supply.
IP6538 has multiple protection functions, including input overvoltage and undervoltage protection, output overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, short circuit protection, etc. IP6538 is packaged in a 5 * 5mm QFN32.
