AXS4056 Description:
The AXS4056 is a single lithium-ion battery linear charge management chip with charging current up to 1000mA, which uses constant current/constant voltage charging mode.
The AXS4056 uses an internal PMOSFET architecture with an anti-reverse charging path that eliminates the need for external detection resistors and isolation diodes. The thermal feedback automatically adjusts the charging current to limit the chip temperature under high-power operation or high ambient temperature conditions. The full voltage is fixed at 4.2V. The charging current can be set with an external resistor through the PROG pin, up to 1000mA.
When the charging current drops to 1/10 after reaching the final floating charge voltage, the AXS4056 automatically terminates the charging cycle. When the input voltage is removed, the AXS4056 automatically enters a low current state, and the battery leakage current is below 1uA.
Additional features of the AXS4056 include current temperature detection, CE enable input control, undervoltage latching, automatic recharging, and two status pins to indicate the end of charge and input voltage access.
