FM868/FM869 is a USB Type-C electronic tag chip (Emarker). The chip supports both passive and active full-featured USB Type-C cable electronic tag ics for USB Type-C interface and power transfer protocol applications.
FM868/FM869 supports structured VDM identity discovery instructions in USB-PD applications directly through SOP 'instructions, allowing hosts with DFP interfaces to know exactly the characteristics of the cable such as current passing capability, performance parameters, supplier identification information, etc.
