XPM6325 Description:
    XPM6325 is a highly integrated, high-performance, flexible power management chip for charge management and power path management systems for lithium-ion and lithium-polymer batteries. XPM6325 integrates the current mode synchronous charging module and the boost module, and the high-side /Low-side switching tube uses 20mΩ on-resistance NMOS, thus achieving very High conversion efficiency. The chip also integrates a Bootstrap diode to power the driver circuit of the High-side switch. The synchronous rectifier control loop consists of five loops: input voltage, input current, output voltage, output constant current, and temperature balance, thus providing excellent power performance for XPM6325.
    The XPM6325 can be configured with an external resistor for battery charging current up to 4A. Among them, the 4A charging efficiency is as high as 93%.     In charging mode, XPM6325 integrates QC2.0, QC3.0, FCP, Type-C PD fast charge request protocol, which can request high voltage fast charge, thus saving battery charging time; In Boost discharge mode, it integrates QC2.0, QC3.0, FCP, AFC, PE, and Type-CPD fast charge protocols to transmit higher power for external devices. The chip is configured as Try.SRC strong power supply DRP dual role. XPM6325 also integrates the external device automatic identification protocol, which can automatically identify Apple, Samsung and other Android devices, providing the optimal charging solution for various external devices.
    XPM6325 supports the function of charging while discharging. When charging for high voltage fast charging, insert the phone, the chip will first adjust the charging request voltage to 5V, and then enable the function of charging while discharging to charge the phone. When charging the phone first, and then plugging in the VIN to charge, it will also enter the charging while discharging mode.
    XPM6325 can compensate the internal resistance of the battery through the external resistance setting, which solves the problem of inaccurate battery display. You can also set the battery power display threshold using an external resistor to meet the requirements of various battery applications. Support 1~4 LED display power, support LED lighting and fast discharge status indicator.
    During the battery power-on and reset stage, the LED power indicator has a self-test function, and after the self-test is completed, it enters the charge/discharge mode.
    XPM6325 can select 4.2V/4.35V/4.4V battery charging voltage via PIN.
    The XPM6325 can automatically switch between multiple operating states. When the chip is in standby mode, the power consumption is as low as 50μΑ. When the chip detects an effective input power supply, it switches to the charging mode, and switches to the standby mode after the input power is dialed out. When the chip detects an external device, it switches to the boost discharge mode, and switches to the standby mode after the external device is dialed out or fully charged.
    The XPM6325 can power Bluetooth low power devices by using the KEY KEY operation to enter the Bluetooth device power supply mode, the chip does not detect light load within 2 hours, and will detect light load shutdown after 2 hours of charging, or you can hold down the key key to force shutdown.
    XPM6325 integrates various protection functions: under voltage, over voltage, over current, over temperature, battery temperature detection, can withstand up to 18V voltage, has good ESD protection performance, the system is stable and reliable. CC1, CC2, DP, DM withstand voltage 18V.

XPM6325 Layout Note:
1. 3.3nf capacitor is required between SW and VSYS;
2, the power display fast charge indicator must be connected;
3, if the NTC function is used, the NTC resistance needs to be NXFT15WF104 thermistor, and a 300K resistor is connected in parallel. If the battery temperature detection NTC function is not required, connect 75K resistance to the ground in the NTC PIN;
4, USB A port output control tube for high voltage NMOS, can not use PMOS.
